Household bio-hazardous or infectious waste (bloodied bandages, dressings, disposable sheets, empty IV bags) should be double-bagged and placed in the trash. Trash containing these potentially infectious wastes should be stored out of the reach of children and pets until it can be picked up by your trash hauler.

Do not put infectious waste in your curbside recycling bin.
