Air quality alert includes Ramsey County
An air quality alert is in effect noon - 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, for west central, east central, central, south central, southwest, north central, and northwest Minnesota, including Ramsey County. Ground-level ozone will affect air quality in Ramsey County Monday afternoon. Unhealthy air quality will most directly affect people in the following situations:
- People who have asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or other breathing conditions.
- People who have heart disease, high blood pressure or other heart conditions.
- Children and older adults.
- People of all ages who are doing extended or heavy, physical activity like playing sports or working outdoors.
