Controlled deer hunt
Ramsey County Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Metro Bowhunters Resource Base, will be conducting controlled archery deer hunts this fall throughout the county parks system. Daylong hunts will be conducted at eight park and trail locations on select dates through December, temporarily impacting the availability of some parks and trails. Ramsey County is home to nine county parks, six regional parks and five regional trail corridors. Many parks include lake access and provide a variety of recreation opportunities, such as boating, picnicking, play areas and swimming.
Please be aware that restrooms and certain waterlines will be closed for the season.

Park ordinance
The Ramsey County park ordinance promotes the safety, health, enjoyment and welfare of everyone in their use of the park. Last amended in 2007, the county rewrote the park ordinance in 2022 to make it more equitable, fair and modern.
