Park amenities

Watercraft of any type is prohibited on Sucker Lake, East Vadnais Lake and West Vadnais Lake. Shoreline fishing is permitted in designated areas only.

Snail Lake

  • Boat launch.
  • Swimming beach.
  • Volleyball court.
  • Large playground.
  • Pavilion and picnic shelter.
  • Biking and hiking trails.
  • Parking for 62 vehicles near pavilion, 99 vehicles near beach, with 8 boat trailer parking slots.

Sucker Lake

  • Two picnic shelters.
  • Parking for 115 cars.
  • Small playground.
  • Biking and hiking trails.

Shelters

Two picnic shelters are available for rental at Sucker Lake. Both offer the same amenities.

Rental fee: $184 plus tax

  • Capacity: 80.
  • 10 six-foot picnic tables, plus three picnic tables outside shelter.
  • Two medium-size grills side-by-side.
  • Five electrical outlets.
  • Two drinking fountains.

Snail Lake Shelter

Rental fee: $125 plus tax

  • Capacity: 50.
  • Eight, six-foot picnic tables.
  • Two grills side-by-side.
  • Four electrical outlets with serving counter.
  • Water fountain with bucket filler.

Pavilion

Pavilion​ at Snail Lake.

Rental fee: $406 plus tax

  • ​32 six-foot picnic tables.
  • Six adjacent square tables with seating for four.
  • Four 28” x 36” grills.
  • Kitchen including two-burner electric stove, one sink, a large home-style refrigerator/freezer, four electrical outlets and serving window.
  • Drinking fountain.
  • Pig roasting area (requires a permit).
