Board proclaims June 2023 PRIDE Month
The board of commissioners proclaimed June 2023 as PRIDE Month in the county at its June 6 meeting.
The month of June is recognized internationally as PRIDE Month to commemorate the Stonewall Riots in June 1969, which sparked the Gay Rights liberation movement.
Commissioner McGuire read the proclamation with county staff and community members offering remarks.
