Oct. 12 declared Licensed Family Child Care Provider Recognition Day
The board of commissioners has declared Oct. 12, 2023 as Licensed Family Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in Ramsey County.
The county has nearly 260 licensed family child care providers who are essential workers that provide a safe and healthy environment that fosters the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children.
This year, Susan Basta will receive a 35 year award. Carolyn Collins and Jane Klimek will receive 30 year awards.
Commissioner Moran read the proclamation with Family Support Services Manager Brian Theine and additional county staff offering remarks.
