Ramsey County Community Corrections and World Youth Connect invites all local youth 14-24 years old to Youth Explosion, a youth-led, free community event celebrating successes of justice-involved youth, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Duluth and Case Rec Center in Saint Paul.
Community youth, especially those who are or have been justice-impacted, are invited to participate in the event’s tournaments, attend the Community Champion award ceremony, and enjoy the many other on-site activities. Food will be provided free for youth on probation and their families.
Tournaments include:
- Volleyball.
- Soccer.
- Basketball.
- Flag football.
Other on-site activities include:
- Food trucks.
- Main stage.
- Live performances.
- Live DJ.
- Games.
- Giveaways.

Youth Explosion celebrates and highlights the resilience and achievements of youth within our community, particularly those who are or have been justice-involved. The event is an inclusive and supportive environment, encouraging positive behavior, and fostering positive connections for personal growth. In addition, this event ties and promotes strengthening and supporting youth and families who are or have been justice-involved, recognizing their potential to contribute positively to society.
