The Minnesota Duty Officer is a 24-hour call service for all state reporting requirements, including spills and releases. Report all spills and releases that can threaten public or environmental health if not recovered.
Report spills that may cause pollution, like toxic, flammable, corrosive or dangerous chemicals.
Report spills that damage the environment, like milk, coal, animal parts or batteries.
You do not need to report petroleum spills of five gallons or less.
