All voters can vote early by absentee ballot in Minnesota. No excuse or reason is needed.

Special election and early voting information for Nov. 4, 2025

A special election for Senate District 47, school districts 282, 622 and 625, and city and school district general races will be held Nov. 4, 2025.

Absentee voting begins Sept. 19. Voters may cast ballots by mail or in person at the Plato Building, (90 W. Plato Blvd., Saint Paul).

Plato Building hours

  • Sept. 19–Nov. 3: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 1: 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 3: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Saint Anthony – Hennepin County Voters

Beginning Friday, October 17, when early voting with ballot counters begins, St. Anthony voters who live in Hennepin County will have two options:

Ballots for St. Anthony–Hennepin voters will not be available at the other three early voting locations.

St. Anthony voters who live in Ramsey County may vote at any Ramsey County early voting location, the same as all other Ramsey County voters.
