A drainage study for the intersection of Centerville Road and Edgerton Street was completed in 2023 in the City of Vadnais Heights. This intersection has had a history of flooding dating back to the 1950’s. In 2023 a design was completed for correcting the flooding issue. The design will include; larger ponds to hold more storm water, embankments that cars can drive back to the road safely instead of the existing steep slopes, pipes constructed above the ordinary lake water levels, structures that can intake and redirect the storm water from the pipes, and landscaping engineered to withstand erosion. The work will require a full road closure to minimize affects to residents and emergency teams.
