- March 25 - When Will It Be Spring
by Catherine Walters
Sometimes it is so hard to wait for something special. Alfie bear can’t wait for winter to be over and for spring to arrive. Will you recognize spring when it arrives? Maybe it’s already here! Join us as we welcome spring with some fun projects and hike outside to search for signs of the long awaited season. - April 8 - A Tree for Me
by Nancy Van Laan, illustrated by Sheila White Samton
One little boy just wants to find a tree. They all seem to be occupied. We will discover who lives in the trees and then hike outside looking for critters. The morning will include bark rubbings, a visit to “the climbing tree” and tasty treats that come from trees. - April 22 - The Lorax
by Dr. Suess
Who is the Lorax and what does he want? This little creature is just trying to help protect the truffula trees. We will celebrate Earth Day with newspaper hats, recycled toys and a non-nature scavenger hunt. Can you find the things that don’t belong? - May 6 - Waiting for Wings
by Lois Elhert
Everyone loves butterflies. Follow these wonderful illustrations from egg to flight as we learn about different kinds of butterflies. Play with butterfly puppets, make a butterfly ring and plant some seeds to start your very own butterfly garden.
