Group Programs
Tamarack Nature Center offers special programming for school groups, scout troops and day cares. Staff strive to create authentic connections between students and nature during each program.
Group programs are typically hosted by a naturalist, but self-led options are also available.
Several programs include activities in the popular Discovery Hollow Nature Play Area and Garden.

School-year environmental education programs
If you are looking for quality out-of-the-classroom learning experiences. We offer programs that provide opportunities for extending and deepening students' understanding of the natural world.
Weather policy
Nature doesn’t stop when it rains and neither do we! Some of the best memories are shared during those unexpected moments. Please ensure all children and chaperones dress appropriately for the weather. Please alert the naturalist to your organization’s weather policies if a program needs modification due to weather. Staff will adapt a program as needed to keep children safe in stormy, icy or extremely cold weather.
Tamarack Nature Center usually does not cancel classes due to weather except for cross-country ski and snowshoe classes, which require 6-10 inches of snowfall.
