Directions

Tamarack Nature Center is located about 20 minutes north of downtown Saint Paul. From Saint Paul, take I-35E north to Highway 96, go east on Highway 96 to Otter Lake Road and turn north. Tamarack Nature Center is located about 2.5 miles on the left side of the road.

Holiday hours

The nature center building is closed during all Ramsey County holidays. Trails and Discovery Hollow remain open to the public.

Discovery Hollow Nature Play Area 

5 a.m. - 11 p.m., daily.

Garden 

Open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, noon-4 p.m.

Trails

Trails are open 5 a.m. - 11 p.m., daily.

Winter Recreation Rental Shack

Closed for the season.

Trails and Discovery Hollow and Garden are free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted.
