Scrap Metal

Ramsey County collects scrap metal at the Environmental Center in Roseville.

Items accepted

Items must have plastic, canvas, glass, or webbing removed. Disassemble items as much as possible. Drain any fluids from equipment. Check with the site attendant if you are unsure which scrap metal bin your items belong in.

Scrap aluminum

• Deck chairs and tables.
• Gutters and downspouts.
• Pots and pans (aluminum only, use magnet onsite to test).
• Separated beverage cans.
• Storm door frames.

Scrap steel

• Bed frames.
• Fencing.
• Pipe and rebar (no concrete).
• Plumbing fixtures.
• Pots and pans (steel only, use magnet onsite to test).
• Hitches and steel automotive parts (fluids must be drained).
• Wire hangers.
