The Gun Permit Unit of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office processes all changes of name or address for all permits issued by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office through the expiration date of the permit.

The permit holder is required to notify the issuing Sheriff's Office of any change of address or loss or destruction of a permit. This must be done within 30 days of the event. Failure to provide notification as required is a petty misdemeanor.
