Ramsey County residents share their experiences and provide recommendations in service delivery and facilities to make it easier to get the services and resources needed to thrive. The Advisory Council ensures that resident perspectives lead in countywide options and recommendations in improvements that provide greater accessibility, efficiency, and service delivery to residents and clients that Ramsey County serve.
Resident Experience Advisory Council Application
Overview
Resident Experience Advisory Council prioritizes projects and identifies challenges that residents experience. The goal of the Council is to guide the county in making county services better and improving resident and employee experiences countywide.
Scope
Countywide services that directly impact residents and the problematic gaps in service delivery systems residents have identified.
Resident Experience Advisory Council is aligned with three countywide strategic priorities:
- Advancing racial and health equity in all decision-making.
- Resident first: effective, efficient and accessible operations.
- Holistic approach to strengthen families.
The Resident Experience Advisory Council co-creates strategies and concrete solutions working with Ramsey County residents, communities and Ramsey County employees.
Applicant requirements
- A Ramsey County resident.
- At least 18 years old or obtain parental consent.
- Individuals and representatives with the following characteristics are encouraged to apply:
- Connection and trusted relationships with local historically marginalized racial, ethnic and cultural communities.
- Lived experience with county services.
- Experience/expertise in specific domains including education, employment, health, housing, economic development, income, human services, justice and/or transportation.
- A commitment to racial equity and social justice.
- The ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse perspectives and experiences.
- The ability to represent the geographic and demographic diversity of Ramsey County.
Responsibilities
- Represent community values.
- Share lived experience & wisdom.
- Analyze resident-focused data (resources, research, & evaluations).
- Identify challenges for residents.
- Co-create solutions to challenges.
- Understand county role and responsibilities in services delivery.
- Work collaboratively with Ramsey County residents and staff.
- Share and get feedback on proposals within informal community networks.
