Youth Advisory Board
Youth Advisory Board members engage in opportunities including advising the Continuum of Care regarding youth homelessness, professional and leadership development, community engagement and networking experiences leading to connections and partnerships and discovering youth advocacy and policy pathways.
Mission
Increase awareness of youth experiencing homelessness and advocate for them.
Vision
- Prioritize awareness as a collective group.
- Amplify individual and collective voices.
- Seek and live your truth.
- Advocate for workforce and housing availability for youth.
- Create a connection to those affected by homelessness to key lawmakers and decision-makers directly involved.
- Political involvement by advocating for equitable funding that is responsive to the needs of youth.
How to join
- Must be 16-25 years old.
- If in school, must maintain a “C” average.
- Must have a lived experience of homelessness or working with homeless youth.
- Must be able to consistently attend YAB meetings and events or give ample notice of absence.
- Must be sober while in attendance to all YAB sanctioned meetings, events, and outings.

2025 Flipping Tables Conference
Join us for the Flipping Tables Conference from 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub, for an exciting event led by youth, for youth and youth advocates.
The Heading Home Ramsey Youth Advisory Board is thrilled to invite you to participate in the 2025 Flipping Tables Conference! This unique event led by youth invites you to connect with a diverse group of youth advocates who are eager to not only share their skills and talents, but also strategize ways on how to best support youth in workforce.
This event is free. There will be live music, food, and connection opportunities. $10 gift cards are available to youth 16-24 in attendance (while supplies last).
